  • Ricotta dumplings stuffed with fresh strawberries served with melted butter, roasted breadcrumbs and powder sugar



  • Shrimp cocktail served on a bed of crispy Roman lettuce, topped with a whisky sauce and garnished with caviar, a slice of lemon, cucumber, tomato and egg
  • Grilled dorade/sea bream with a hot chili sauce garnished with a Brazilian style vegetable salsa and rice
  • Selection of cheeses
  • K’s double layer cheesecake made of full fat cream cheese, sour cream and Greek yoghurt topped with a red coulis (pureed sauce) of forest fruit



  • Warm wild mushroom salad with bacon and drizzled with sweet balsamic reduction
  • Carre d’Agneau Persille/ Rack of Lamb with parsley and garlic crust, served with ratatouille Nicoise

  • Fruit medley tiramisu with fresh red fruit filling, Marsala wine and velvety cream



  • Mouthwatering grilled goat cheese salad consisting of French bread croutons topped with warm goat cheese served on a bed of green salad (mesclun) with a dressing vinaigrette and walnuts
  • Beef bourguignon – a sumptuous slow-cooked casserole of beef chunks, carrots, silver baby onions in a red wine sauce served with green beans tossed in sautéed bacon and sesame seeds and roasted flour potatoes
  • Selection of cheeses
  • Tarte Tatin – famous upside-down apple tart with an apple layer caramelized in sugar and butter served with vanilla ice-cream and French custard



  • Shrimp croquette with a variety of salads and sweet chillied mustard sauce
  • Seafood spaghetti – a scrumptious seafood dish of prawns, mussels, squid and baby octopus simmered in a bisque sauce (creamy strained broth of crustaceans) sprinkled with parmesan shavings

  • Poached pears in red wine sauce with cinnamon and anise seeds, served in a basket of spun sugar and crème anglaise



  • Veritable Bouillabaisse (Mediterranean fish soup) served with croutons and homemade rouille

Itinerary 

Holland

Day 1, Sunday
Meet at your hotel in Amsterdam at 2:00 p.m. and transfer to Aurora. You are welcomed on board with an aperitif. Have some time to relax and a stroll around Schiedam, known for its six working windmills (five of which are the highest traditional, working in the world). Owner buys flour from this one. You can also visit a jenever (Dutch gin) distillery or go to the top of the Euromast. Enjoy your first dinner on board. 

Day 2, Monday
You will start with a breakfast cruise through the tiny canals of Schiedam to Delft, famous for the blue-and-white porcelain that bears its name. Delft is a beautiful town and has many historic connections, including the Dutch East India Company and the birthplace of artist Jan Vermeer (visit Vermeer Centre). Visit a factory to learn how the world famous Delft pottery is made. Then, take a late afternoon cruise to moor in Leidschendam.

Day 3, Tuesday
In the morning, cruise past the University City of Leiden, and on through a small lake. Spend some time shopping in the cosmopolitan town of Haarlem or visit St. Bavo’s Cathedral, where both Mozart and Handel played on its magnificent Muller organ. You can visit Frans Hals Portrait Gallery as well.

Day 4, Wednesday
Enjoy a morning cruise on the North Sea Canal to the historic village of Zaan Schaans with its working windmills; clog makers, cheese farm and mustard mill. Everything the Dutch are known for can be found in this quaint village.

Day 5, Thursday
Start a relaxing morning cruise through the centre of Amsterdam. Continue past lifting bridges and canal houseboats to your mooring. After lunch, experience one of the highlights of the cruise. Walk through the Keukenhof Gardens, a 70-acre showcase for the Dutch floral industry. Visitors are treated to an ever-changing display of spring flowers beginning with crocus and narcissus, followed by hyacinths and tulips a few weeks later. (Closes on May 18)

After May 18, you can visit the Peace Palace instead, if no one is on trial.

Day 6, Friday
Take an early morning cruise to Gouda to see the remarkable stained glass windows in St John’s church dating back to the 15th century. Enjoy a walking tour of Gouda, famous for its cheese, pipes and candles. Delight yourself in an afternoon cruise down the Ijssle and through spectacular Rotterdam harbour.

Enjoy a special farewell dinner.

Day 7, Saturday
After a leisurely breakfast, you will be transferred back to your hotel or to Schipol Airport.

Terms & Conditions

Prices shown in Euros or US Dollar will be converted in Australian Dollar (AUD) at time of payment using a daily ROE. An initial deposit of 30% of the total cruise fare for cabin or charter booking is payable at the time of booking. The balance must be paid within 100 days as per our terms and conditions and as specified in our confirmation invoice, which will be despatched when the booking form has been processed. Cancellation policy applies to all bookings.
