BESANCON TO DIJON

Day 1, Besancon
You are welcome to board the ship at 6:00 pm. After comfortably settling into your cabins, you will be introduced to the crew at a welcome cocktail. Tonight, enjoy dinner and remain in port overnight.

Day 2, Besancon - Ranchot
Departure by coach to Arc-et-Senans for the tour of the Royal Saltworks (La Saline-Royale). Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this royal factory was built between 1775 and 1779 at the wishes of King Louis XV. Spend the afternoon sailing towards Ranchot and remain in port overnight.

Day 3, Ranchot - Dole
Morning is spent cruising towards Dole. During the afternoon, join an original and unique tour, following the “trail of the Chat Perché”. This trail refers to the famous tales of a Perched Cat, written be Marcel Aymé who lived in Dole as a child. Return on board and remain in port overnight.

Day 4, Dole - Saint-Jean-de-Losne
Morning is spent cruising towards Saint-Jean-de-Losne. Join a tour of Saint-Jean-de-Losne, the capital of canal barging in France. Remain in port overnight.

Day 5, Saint-Jean-de-Losne - Petite-Ouges
Morning is spent cruising towards Petit-Ouges. As you float by, you will discover the magnificent lush, green landscapes of the Saône Valley. A bike path was created that follows your route on the canal. You are free to take this path whenever you wish, bicycles are available on board(1). At the end of the afternoon, arrive in Petit-Ouges where you can take the time to visit this tiny village at your own pace and discover the “Path of the three Wash Houses”(2). Remain in port overnight.

Day 6, Petite-Ouges - Dijon
Morning is spent cruising towards Dijon. You'll be able to sit back and admire the vineyards and scenery that slowly pass by as you cruise. In the afternoon, enjoy an excursion along the Grands Crus wine route. The touristic Grands Crus wine route passes through the finest and most prestigious of the Burgundy vineyards. Tonight’s your gala evening. Remain in port overnight.

Day 7, Dijon
Buffet breakfast on board. Disembark at 9:00 am. End of tour.

DIJON TO BESANCON

Day 1, Dijon
You are welcome to board the ship at 6:00 pm. After comfortably settling into your cabins, you will be introduced to the crew at a welcome cocktail. Tonight, enjoy dinner and remain in port overnight.

Day 2, Dijon - Petite-Ouges
Enjoy and excursion along the Grands Crus wine route. The touristic Grands Crus wine route passes through the finest and most prestigious of the Burgundy vineyards. Stop along the way for a wine-tasting session. Back on board and departure of the barge towards Petit-Ouges. As you float by, you will discover the magnificent lush, green landscapes of the Saône Valley. A bike path was created that follows your route on the canal. You are free to take this path whenever you wish, bicycles are available on board. Arrival in Petit-Ouges in the afternoon and discovery of the “Path of the Three Wash Houses”(2). Remain in port overnight.

Day 3, Petite-Ouges - Saint-Jean-de-Losne
The whole day will be spent cruising towards Saint-Jean-de-Losne. Take the time to sit back and admire the vineyards and scenery that slowly pass by as you cruise. You can take a walk or ride along the bike path(1). Late in the afternoon, arrive in Saint-Jean-de-Losne. Remain in port overnight.

Day 4, Saint-Jean-de-Losne - Dole
Visit Saint-Jean-de-Losne, the capital of canal barging in France, which lies at the heart of the French waterways and canal system in southern Burgundy. Back on board. Afternoon spent cruising towards Dole that you will reach at the end of the afternoon. Remain in port overnight.

Day 5, Dole - Ranchot
Join an original and unique tour, following the “trail of the Chat Perché”. This trail refers to the famous tales of a Perched Cat, written be Marcel Aymé who lived in Dole as a child. It also refers to Dole's location, which is perched on a beautiful hillside. Back on board and departure of the barge towards Ranchot. You can use the bicycles (available on board) to ride on the bike path that follows your route on the canal. Remain in port overnight.

Day 6, Ranchot - Besancon
Morning is spent cruising. In the afternoon, departure by coach to Arc-et-Senans for a tour of the Royal Saltworks (La Saline Royale). Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this royal factory, built between 1775 and 1779 in the shape of a semi-circle, was where salt workers traditionally lived and worked. Back on board in Besancon. Tonight is your gala evening. Remain in port overnight.

BESANCON TO MONTBELIARD

Day 1, Besancon
You are welcome to board the ship at 6:00 pm. After comfortably settling into your cabins, you will be introduced to the crew at a welcome cocktail. Tonight, enjoy dinner and remain in port overnight.

Day 2, Besancon - Deluz
Besançon has been listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 2008. Join a guided tour of the citadel with a registered guide. You will learn about the history of this exceptional defensive site as well as its role from its construction through to the present day. Afterwards, you will have free time to visit the various museums in the citadel. Return on board in Deluz for lunch. This afternoon, set off on foot to discover the various walking paths around the town. Have the opportunity to visit the site of the Pelouse Sèche (or dry grassland) which is part of the Natura 2000 project. Here you can admire many different varieties of orchids, the rocks at Château Loriot or the charming chapel at Montoille. Return on board for dinner and remain in port overnight.

Day 3, Deluz - Baume-les-Dames
Indulge in a buffet breakfast on board today as you spend the morning cruising. Be free to cycle along the banks of the Doubs at any time by taking the Euro-Vélo 6 Cycle Route, which links the Atlantic Ocean to the Black Sea, thanks to an initiative from the European Federation of Cyclists in 1994. You can take advantage of this cycle ride to visit charming villages. Return on board at any time during the morning. After lunch on board, the afternoon will be devoted to a guided tour of Baumes les Dames. Here, you will discover the old town including typical buildings full of character, and the fine abbey. Founded in the 5th century, it welcomed and housed nuns from illustrious families and was the scene of a miracle. Odile, the blind daughter of Duke Etichon (Adalric) of Alsace had her sight restored here during her baptism. The visit ends with a tasting of local products. Return on board for dinner and remain in port overnight.

Day 4, Baume-les-Dames - Clerval
Enjoy a buffet breakfast on board today as you spend the morning cruising. Be free to cycle alongside the boat by taking the Euro-Vélo 6 Cycle Route, and you can return on board at any time during the morning. Have lunch on board and arrive in Clerval early in the afternoon. Discover the hiking path to the Reposoir Chapel. Take a stroll through the heart of Clerval and admire the 16th century houses, the towers and arches around the church of this once fortified town. Travel along the old Route de Bâle and cross a lovely wooded area bringing you to a remarkable panoramic view of the village and valley. Return on board for dinner and remain in port overnight.

Day 5, Clerval - L'Isle-sur-le-Doubs
Buffet breakfast and lunch are taken on board today as you spend the morning cruising. Be free to cycle alongside the boat by taking the Euro-Vélo 6 Cycle Route. This afternoon, stop at l’Isle-sur-le-Doubs. You'll get a chance to discover this pretty town at your own pace in its hilly, woodland setting. The town owes its name to its location in the middle of the Doubs Canal which splits into two parts, thus surrounding the town and forming an island some 800 metres long and 100 metres wide. Dinner is on board this evening as you remain in port overnight.

Day 6, L'Isle-sur-le-Doubs - Montbeliard
Enjoy a buffet breakfast on board. Early this morning, the boat sets sail and heads for Montbéliard. Why not take advantage of the time spent cruising this morning to admire the beautiful scenery in the Doubs Valley, or to walk or cycle along the canal paths alongside the boat? Arrive in Montbéliard in mid-afternoon and set off on foot for a tour through the historic heart of Montbéliard, a former Württemberg principality. In the company of your guide, travel back in time through four centuries of royal destiny, along streets filled with charm and fantasy. Enjoy some free time for exploration on your own before you return on board. Tonight is your gala evening. Remain in port overnight.

Day 7, Montbeliard
Enjoy one last breakfast on board before disembarking at 9:00 am. End of tour.

MONTBELIARD TO BESANCON

Day 1, Montbeliard
You are welcome to board the ship at 6:00 pm in Montbeliard. After comfortably settling into your cabins, you will be introduced to the crew at a welcome cocktail. Tonight, enjoy dinner and remain in port overnight.

Day 2, Montbeliard - L'Isle-sur-le-Doubs
Take part in a walking tour through the historic heart of Montbéliard, a former Württemberg principality. Back on board. The afternoon will be spent cruising towards l'Isle-sur-le-Doubs. Take time to relax and admire the beautiful scenery in the Doubs Valley, or to walk or cycle along the canal paths alongside the boat. Arrive early in the evening and remain in port overnight.

Day 3, L'Isle-sur-le-Doubs - Clerval
Morning is spent cruising towards Clerval. At any time, you are free to bike along the banks of the Doubs River by taking the EuroVelo 6 Cycle Route. In the afternoon, discover the hiking path to the Reposoir Chapel. Return on board and remain in port overnight.

Day 4, Clerval - Baumes-les-Dames
Morning is spent cruising towards Baumes-Les-Dames that you will reach in the afternoon. Relax and enjoy a breakfast buffet as you cruise the river for the rest of the morning. During the morning, you are free to bike alongside the boat by riding on the EuroVelo 6 Cycle Route. You can come and go as you please, returning on board at any time. You'll enjoy a relaxing lunch on board before arriving in Baumes-les-Dames early in the afternoon. Take part in a guided tour of Baumes-les-Dames. Here, you'll discover the ancient town centre, including typical buildings full of character, and the beautiful abbey. Enjoy a tasting of local products before returning on board. Remain in port overnight.

Day 5, Baumes-les-Dames - Deluz
Morning is spent cruising towards Deluz. You’re free to ride a bicycle alongside the boat. In the afternoon, discover the various hiking paths around the town. Return on board and remain in port overnight.

Day 6, Deluz - Besancon
Morning is spent cruising toward Besancon. During the morning, you are free to bike alongside the boat by riding on the EuroVelo 6 Cycle Route. Early in the afternoon, arrive in Besancon and join a guided tour of the Citadel of Besançon. After the visit, you will have free time to visit the Citadel's various museums, including the Resistance and Deportation Museum, the Comtois Museum and the Natural History Museum. Back on board. Tonight is your gala evening. Remain in port overnight.

Day 7, Besancon
Buffet breakfast on board. Disembark at 9:00 am. End of tour.


PORT-SUR-SAONE TO DIJON

Day 1, Dijon - Port-sur-Saone
Transfer by coach from Dijon to Port-Sur-Saône. You are welcome to board the ship at 6:00 pm. After comfortably settling into your cabins, you will be introduced to the crew at a welcome cocktail. Tonight, enjoy dinner and remain in port overnight.

Day 2, Port-sur-Saone - Savoyeux
Morning is spent cruising towards Savoyeux. This is the perfect moment to relax and enjoy the hillside scenery and rolling meadows during your cruise. You will also pass through several locks, including those at Rigny and Savoyeux. In the afternoon, visit the medieval castle at Champlitte, which hosts the Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions. Back on board. Remain in port overnight.

Day 3, Savoyeux - Gray
Morning is spent cruising towards Gray. Take time to admire the spectacular scenery that slowly passes by as you cruise. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided tour of Gray. You'll discover the wonderful treasures of the town as you meander through its streets. The tour will end with a tasting of some of the local specialties. Return on board and remain in port overnight.

Day 4, Gray - Auxonne
The whole day will be spent cruising towards Auxonne, arriving near the end of the afternoon. You can relax on the sun deck and admire the beautiful scenery. Bicycles are available on board at any time if you would like to take a bike ride along the canal's banks. Remain in port overnight in Auxonne.

Day 5, Auxonne - Longecourt-en-Plaine
Morning is spent cruising. You can admire the magnificent lush, green landscapes all along the river on your journey. In the afternoon, enjoy an excursion along the Grands Crus Wine Route. The touristic Grands Crus wine route passes through villages and the finest and most prestigious of the Burgundy vineyards. Stop along the way for a wine-tasting session. Return on board in Longecourt-en-Plaine and remain in port overnight.

Day 6, Longecourt-en-Plaine - Dijon
Morning is spent cruising towards Dijon. In the afternoon, join a guided tour of Dijon. You will discover the former capital of the Valois Dukes of Burgundy and its wonderfully rich heritage. Tonight is your gala evening. Remain in port overnight.

Day 7, Dijon
Buffet breakfast on board. Disembark at 9:00 am. End of tour.
