Summary
Explore the rich history and culture of Burgundy on board the charming barge of Magnolia. Magnolia was built in 1956 and converted into a hotel barge in 2014. She features three comfortable en-suite cabins, two sundecks for dining and one with spa pool, TV/DVD player and six bicycles.
Magnolia also offers a self-catered cruise. The self-catered cruise is a new concept where guests are taking care of their own meals, while the crew is in charge of the navigation. A fully equipped kitchen is available and the crew will assist you for food supply. Price is 6,800 Euros charter of 6 people.

Escommes to Dijon
Day 1, Saturday
Guests are met in Dijon train station at 3:00 pm and transferred to the barge moored in Escommes. Enjoy your welcome drink on board as the boat and its crew are presented. Take a cocktail cruise to Vandenesse (8 locks). Dinner on board is included.Day 2, Sunday
In the morning, visit Châteauneuf en Auxois then explore the 12th century castle and its medieval village. Savour lunch in Chateauneuf (at guest’s expense). The afternoon cruise to Pont d’Ouche offers walking and cycling opportunities (11 locks). Enjoy a home-hosted dinner at a local family house.Day 3, Monday
You will take a morning cruise to La Bussière (6 locks). Lunch on board is included. The whole afternoon includes a visit to Beaune, the wine capital of Burgundy, a guided tour of the charity hospital from the 15th century, and free time for shopping. You can have your dinner at a local restaurant like l’Abbaye de La Bussière or Barbirey sur Ouche (at guest’s expense).Day 4, Tuesday
After breakfast, you will drive to Dijon to explore the capital of the dukes. Explore its rich and coloured market with the resident chef. He will help you choose your lunch before he prepares it on board “à la plancha” on the outdoor kitchen. Lunch on board is included. In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing cruise to Lock 34 (8 locks). Dinner at lock 34, an authentic lock house reconverted into a welcoming "guinguette", will let you savour the owner's original cuisine (at guest’s expense).Day 5, Wednesday
Enjoy a morning cruise to Fleurey (8 locks). You can grab lunch at the O P'tit Repere Du Gout in Fleurey (at guest’s expense). In the afternoon, have an exquisite wine tasting experience in Vosne-Romanée at Armelle Rion family domaine. After tasting prestigious wines, you will drive to Clos de Vougeot chateau, owned by the knights of the Tastevin. Dinne on board is included.Day 6, Thursday
You will take a day cruise to Dijon (13 locks). A morning visit to l’Or des Valois, a truffle farm, will let you experience truffle hunting with dogs. Lunch at the truffle farm is included. This is the end of the cruise to Dijon. Farewell dinner on board is included.Day 7, Friday
After breakfast, guests will disembark and be transferred to Dijon train station.
Dijon to EscommesDay 1, Saturday

Have an exciting morning visit to experience truffle hunting with dogs at l’Or des Valois. Lunch at the truffle farm is included. In the afternoon, you will cruise to Fleurey sur Ouche, which will give you an opportunity to walk or to cycle along the canal (8 locks). Dinner is served on board.Day 3, Monday
Take a morning cruise to Lock 34 (8 locks). Lunch is served on board. Enjoy an afternoon wine tasting in a family domaine Armelle Rion in Vosne Romanée where you will have a prestigious tasting of the grand cru: Clos de Vougeot. Savour dinner at lock 34, an authentic lock house reconverted into a welcoming “guinguette”, where you will taste the owner's original cuisine (at guest’s expense).Day 4, Tuesday

Take a day cruise to Escommes (19 locks). Lunch is served on board. In the afternoon, you will visit Châteauneuf en Auxois, a 12th century castle and its medieval village. Farewell dinner on board is included.Day 7, Friday
After breakfast, guests will disembark and be transferred to Dijon train station.This is a sample itinerary and is subject to change. On alternate weeks the cruise is in the reverse direction.
Self-Catered CruiseThis barge also offers self-catering option for guests to cook at their leisure whilst crew take care of navigation. 6,800 per charter of 6 people for 6 nights. A fully equipped kitchen is available and the crew will assist you for food supply. Optional excursion is also available at 220 Euros per person, optional breakfast at 400 Euros for 6 persons for the week.

Terms & Conditions
Prices shown in Euros and will be converted in Australian Dollar (AUD) at time of payment using a daily ROE. An initial deposit of 35% of the total cruise fare is payable at the time of booking. The balance must be paid within 90 days as per our terms and conditions and as specified in our confirmation invoice, which will be despatched when the booking form has been processed. Cancellation policy applies to all bookings.
